Iron Man-style power suits 'will be in war zones in five years'

 

Iron Man-style power suits which make the wearer vastly stronger will be used by soldiers in war zones in the next five years, according to a firm developing them.

 

 

Nintendo announces price and launch date for 3DS



The Nintendo 3DS hand-held console, which allows players to view 3D images without the need for special glasses, will launch in Japan in February 26 2011 and will be sold at the suggested retail price of 25,000 yen (around £189).

Nintendo said that the console will be released in the European market in March 2011. A release date has not yet been confirmed for the American market. No prices for both markets have been announced yet.
Its likely that the price for the Nintendo in the European and American markets may differ from the Japanese price.

Features include:  The Nintendo 3DS will be launched in two colours, Cosmos Black and Aqua Blue and will include a 2GB SD storage card, a recharging cradle and 6AR cards (for use for games with AR technologies.  The Nintendo 3DS comes equipped with two screens – one 3D screen and one touch-screen – a motion sensor, a gyro sensor, and analogue pad and a 3D depth slider so players can toggle between 3D and 2D screen settings. The device also has two cameras which allow its user to take 3D pictures.

BlackBerry reveals PlayBook tablet to compete with iPad.

BlackBerry's new Playbook Tablet will be the ''fastest ever tablet'', says research in motion.



This will be released in the new year. It will have a 7-inch multitouch screen, and a new OS (operating system) gotten from the company's purchase of QNX.

The tablet will be able to run Adobe’s Flash, which Apple’s iPad doesn’t, and offer micro-HDMI and micro-usb ports. It weighs just 400g and includes dual HD cameras for video calling. Pricing and release dates, for the UK and the rest of the world, have not yet been announced, but it will be available in the USA in the first quarter of 2011 and “international markets” in the second quarter.

Although 3G and 4G models are planned for the future, the device will initially connect to the web via wifi or via a user’s BlackBerry smartphone, and offer a reflection of its screen for expanded use.
It will offer “true multi-tasking” and "an amplified view of what's already on your BlackBerry”. It’s expected that 16gb and 32gb models will be offered.

HP announces apps and printers that don’t need computers

New ‘web printing initiative’ includes remote printing, apps and a printer with a built-in internet browser and detachable screen 

HP has introduced a new range of printers that talk directly to mobile devices and can be accessed remotely. The launch of the new ePrint platform gives each device an email address, and allows documents to be emailed directly to the printer for immediate printing.



Windows 7 phone release date on 21 October


Sources said that Microsoft would be launching their Windows 7 Phone on 21 October.
They will be released in the USA on November 8th.

The phones will be ableto fownload media from Microsoft's Zune store.

Microsoft confirmed they were having an event on October 7th, but failed to say whether it was about the phone or not.
A spokesman said: ''w have nothing to sharat this time.''

BMW unveils Mini Scooter E


BMW has unveiled the Mini Scooter E, an all-electric concept vehicle that made it's debut at the London Fashion Week. Employing the model Agyness Deyn to make the introduction.

The scooter is an all-electric plug-in vehicle with a cable that can be plugged directly into a household outlet.

Apple making Progress with "PING"



Apple has improved Ping by adding an update to iTunes which now allows users to directly interact with Ping from iTunes instead of having to visit Ping itself.

It now allows you to recommend songs that you enjoy to your friends and vice-versa, while listening to the song.
