Here are the Best Video Game Assasins:
1.)Ezio Auditore, star of three of the main entry Assassin's Creed games, is
perhaps the first person who comes to mind when you think of video game
assassins these days. He's dabbled in everything, from taking out high
profile targets to co-ordinating Brotherhood attacks, and even testing out
Leonardo Da Vinci's various contraptions. As well as taking down numerous
Templar foes, Ezio has also engaged in a fist fight with the Pope.
2.) Ezio may be the talk of the town, but his predecessor Altaïr wrote the
book on being an assassin. Quite literally, in this case, as Ezio often has
to find pages of Altaïr's codex to uncover his secrets. Altaïr
returns to the main Assassin's Creed series in Revelations, playable in
flashback missions. He may not have the gadgets and sense of humour of his
younger counterpart, but in his day Altaïr cut an imposing figure
through the Holy Land. On the rare occasions he was seen, anyway.
3.)Khan (Broken Sword)-Another member of the Hashashin order, taking on the Templars, but this time
not an Animus in sight. Khan, the antagonist-but-not-really from Broken
Sword is a master of disguise, which is to say he dresses up as a
leprechaun, an old woman and a clown amongst other things. His first
appearance, in Broken Sword's sublime intro movie, leads to George Stobbart
trekking through Parisian sewers with a greasy tissue in his pocket. On the
downside, Khan was once foiled by a novelty hand buzzer, which is a bit of a
blot on the copy book.
4.) Agent 47, the bald, barcoded enigma that he is, has a somewhat convoluted
backstory. But it doesn't matter, because when you're setting up an
elaborate barbecue-related accident in a suburban backyard, clones and
mysterious agencies seem a bit irrelevant. Not only is Agent 47 a master of
gunplay, he's also pretty good at making things look like an accident.
Switching out a prop gun for a real one, dropping chandeliers or knocking
people into crocodile pits, this is one killer who truly earns the nickname
'silent assassin'.
5.)Cyborg Ninja stalks the corridors of Shadow Moses, dispatching soldiers and
challenging Snake to a fist fight. Eventually it turns out he's there to
help, and is in fact Gray Fox, a former FOXHOUND member whom Snake believed
to be dead. The joyous reunion is cut short, however, when Gray Fox is
crushed by a Metal Gear piloted by Liquid Snake. Ninja is armed with a high
frequency blade and wears an armoured exoskeleton.
6.)HK-47, the Sith assassin droid, was created to hunt Jedi. For this he uses his
proficiency with weapons, his advanced programming, and his acerbic wit.
Many Jedi fell beneath his barrage of gunfire, and even more still fell prey
to his sharp tongue. Eventually teaming up with the player character in
Knights of the Old Republic, HK-47's assassination days may be behind him,
but his distain for organic life and lust for blood have never gone away.
7.)Thane (Mass Effect) Krios is a drell assassin who joins Commander Shepard in her quest to
save the galaxy. Favouring up-close-and-personal kills, Thane, much like
Ezio and Altaïr, is a deeply spiritual and reflective type (who just so
happens to murder people). Dying, and filled with an intense guilt, he teams
up with Shepard as a form of penance to right the wrongs he's committed. The
fact his head looks like a cabbage is deceptive; Thane is still one deadly
killer.
8.)Rikimaru and Ayame, the duo from the majority of the Tenchu games, lurk in the
shadows and kill their victims from afar with blades, shurikens and
deceptively tasty poisoned rice cakes. Rikimaru is head of the Azuma ninja
clan, of which Ayame is a member. Both are adept at dispatching foes
silently, skulking around like only a true ninja assassin can.
9.)Assassin from Assassin is arguably the most notorious assassin there is, if
only because his name is Assassin. Made by Team 17 and released on the
Amiga, Assassin saw Assassin using a razor sharp boomerang to dispatch his
assassination targets. Assassin doesn't much have the appearance of an
assassin though, looking more like He-Man with a mullet than a deadly killer.
10.)Captain Price (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare)-From an awful hairstyle we end up at the man who singlehandedly re-popularised
the handlebar moustache, Captain John Price. While not strictly an assassin
all the time, the mission All Ghillied Up has Price stalking through
Pripyat, sent to kill the villainous Imran Zakhaev. Unfortunately he only
manages to shoot his arm off, which is probably why he's not referred to as
an assassin very often. Price makes up for his hired killer faux pas by
making sure to kill everything that moves during times of war (apart from
his good buddy Soap, of course).
Hope U enjoyed.
Altair for life, the best character ever!
